At Ocean Beaches Glass, glass art pieces are hand-blown (sometimes called “mouth-blown”) by glass artist Bob Meyer. Bob creates a variety of hand-blown glass floats, which are popular in this area because of the large numbers of glass Japanese fishing floats that used to be found on our beaches. Our hand-blown glass vases and bowls are all guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind, and are made in a variety of color combinations to fit any decor. Bob also creates a variety of hand-blown paperweights, glasses, and wall hangings. Custom orders are also accepted, which have so far consisted of hand-blown items like glass light shades and burial urns, or previously blown items that people would like to have in a different color scheme.

We believe that the glassblowing process itself is what constitutes much of the wonder and beauty of art glass, so our shop is set up in such a way that visitors are allowed an unusual level of access to the process. Ocean Beaches Glass is located in Seal Rock, OR – right along the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 101), in what’s known as Oregon’s “Central Coast” area. This entire part of the state is a great place to visit, and a visit to our shop can really top off your trip.
